The Rubell Museum is the largest contemporary art museum in the Southeast and draws its exhibitions from an ever expanding collection of over 7,400 paintings, sculptures, photographs and videos. The Rubell family began collecting art 55 years ago in New York and have made their collection publicly accessible since moving to Miami in 1993. The Museum's newly opened, 100,000 sq. ft. home was designed by Annabelle Selldorf and features over 30 galleries, a research library, garden and a highly regarded Basque restaurant, Leku. Juan Valadez has worked at the Rubell Museum for the past 20 years and has been the Director since 2009.
